Have these images of Earth from the lunar surface been sent by the Vikram Lander?

After the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram lander on the moon on August 23, everyone is curious to know what the Earth will look like from the moon. A few photos have gone viral on social media claiming to be of the Earth from the lunar surface.

Fact Check Methodology

We started our investigation by running a reverse image search on the viral photos.

We found the same images on the Zeenews website. The site mentions that the photos are AI-generated (Artificial intelligence) views of the Earth from the moon.

We also found the same images on the DNA India website, where it is mentioned that these are AI-generated images.

Please read here.

We checked ISRO’s official social media accounts for photos and videos sent from the Chandrayaan-3, but couldn’t find the viral images on any of them.

A two-segment ramp facilitated the roll-down of the rover. A solar panel enabled the rover to generate power.

Here is how the rapid deployment of the ramp and solar panel took place, prior to the rolldown of the rover.
