A collection of images is going viral among social media users claiming that the photos depict the billionaire entrepreneur and business magnate Elon Musk`s wives, who are, in fact, humanoid robots. Let’s look at this bizarre claim in detail.
Social Media Posts
Social media posts accompanying a series of images of Elon Musk with robotic ladies state that these ladies advanced humanoid robots were, in fact, the wives of Elon Musk, created using modern artificial intelligence. It is said that these females were created with the personality and characteristics of the female features Musk dreams of. There are a lot of attractive points in these statements stating those robots have solar-powered batteries and many other features.
Users commented on it like below.
We decided to do a fact-check to determine whether this was true.
Fact Check
First, we checked on mainstream media whether any reported about Elon Musks’ humanoid robot wives. However, we could not find any such reports.
Then, we checked Elon Musk`s official social media accounts about such humanoid robots. But there was no such post.
And we searched those photos carefully and detected the abnormalities of fingers in those human-like images, as well as the unusual smoothness of images and blurry backgrounds, which are key characteristics of AI-generated images.
Due to the above clue, we did a reverse image search and found the source of these viral images. Those were created by digital image creators who are famous for AI-generated images.
And we were able to find out the source of the image. A few digital creators publish the photos, one creator is named art_is_2_inspire on Instagram, and that creator’s Facebook page name is Guerrero Art.
And the Gurrero Art FB page has similar AI-generated images of female robots, which depict being kissed and hugged by the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg.
On the Art is 2 Inspire Instagram page, we found two of Elon Musk`s wives’ related images of viral posts.
And there is another digital creator named Diana Stark. As seen below, we found other related images in one of her Twitter posts and prompts used to create such images.
We contacted Diana about her contributions to these images and will update this article with her response.
Elon Musk`s Tesla also has a humanoid robot generation program named Tesla Bot, and it`s not as advanced as viral social media posts about female robots say. A video about the Tesla Bot program can be watched below.
