What you’ll actually do
You sit where research meets audience. Our team hands you rigorously verified stories; you make people stop scrolling and stay.
- Produce and edit short-form video for Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts as your main output.
- Translate detailed fact-checks into clear, honest, genuinely engaging stories.
- Write hooks and structure narratives that hold attention to the last frame.
- Cut interviews, podcasts, green-screen segments and studio pieces.
- Build fast with AI-assisted tools while keeping a human check on every fact.
- Adapt one story across formats and both languages without losing its edge.
- Watch what performs, learn from it, and sharpen the next batch.
- Own your pieces end to end, from first script to final export.
The person behind the edit
Must have
- A showreel, portfolio, or even a few links or examples of short-form (or other) content you’ve made.
- Strong editing skills and an instinct for hooks, pacing and retention.
- Fluent Sinhala storytelling, plus comfortable working in English.
- Comfort using AI tools to speed up work, with care for accuracy.
A plus
- Camera and production experience, on location or in studio.
- Motion graphics, sound design or subtitling know-how.
- An interest in news, media literacy or fact-checking.
- Experience planning or running promotional and paid ad campaigns, especially on lean, well-optimised budgets.
